Our Business is a self-supporting public firm that funds budget-friendly real estate chances whose requirements are not fulfilled by the market. Considering that its production in 1973 by the General Assembly, the Firm has funded more than 241,000 budget friendly houses and houses, amounting to $17.2 billion.
Our Business provides financing through the sale of tax-exempt bonds and management of federal tax credit programs, the federal HOUSE Program, the state Real Estate Trust Fund, and other programs.
Our Business operations are supervised by a geographically varied, 13-member Board of Directors that consists of members with proficiency in banking, home loan maintenance, house structure and realty sales. The Guv, President of the state Senate, and Speaker of the state Legislature each select 4 members, and these 12 members choose a 13th. The Board of Directors designates the Company's Executive Director, based on approval by the Guv; and the Executive Director works with all personnel. The Firm's statute explains its board structure, basic powers, program authority and funding ability.
Our Business reports its budget plan through the Workplace of State Spending plan and Management in the Guv's Workplace. Its monetary accounts are audited yearly by an independent auditing company.
